We have an immediate vacancy for a Winder; this is a full-time permanent role, which reports to a Team leader. The successful candidate will receive full training in the manufacture of Stators, Armatures, Field Coils and rotors, which form part of an aircraft's power generation system.
MainTasks:
•Winding of stators, rotors, field coils and armatures using specialized enamel coated copper wire, a variety of hand tools and test equipment.
•Solvent degreasing of components using ultrasonic cleaning equipment.
•Brazing of connections using resistance & flame welding equipment.
•Electrical testing using resistance and high voltage test equipment.
•Undertake dimensional checks using verniers, height gauges, micrometres and check gauges.
Qualifications:
•Numerate and literate - minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
Skills & Experience:
This vacancy will suit an individual with a high level of dexterity and excellent attention to detail.

•Numerate and literate - minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
•Strong communication skills
•Disciplined, organised, able to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail
