Our leading timber engineering specialist client is seeking to strengthen their team with the addition of a HR Generalist. As an experienced HR Generalist, you will support a renowned team of timber engineering experts who use the latest manufacturing processes and equipment, integrated supply chains and strong environmental credentials to achieve timber engineering excellence. You will enjoy the autonomy of managing your own workload within a friendly team.
The HR Generalist role will provide professional support to this timber engineering business in all HR related matters. The successful HR Generalist will delivery consistent high quality, clear employee relations advice to managers and ensure alignment with the company business goals.

KEY HUMAN RESOURCE GENERALIST RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work closely with all departments and implement policies and procedures
* Interpret, advise and implement policies and procedures
* Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation
* Develop and implement policies on working conditions, performance management equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management
* Maintain employee records and HR documentation
* Plan and delivering training
* Cover all aspects of people management
* Create leadership development plans
* Dealing with grievances and implement disciplinary procedures
* Develop HR planning strategies which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements
* Analyse training needs in conjunction with departmental managers
* Other duties as required to ensure the business is fully supported by the HR function
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION HR GENERALIST:
* Qualified to degree level or similar by experience (CIPD Preferred)
* Practical knowledge of employment law is essential
* Professional at all times
* Tactful and diplomatic with the ability to deal with difficult situations
* A high regard for maintaining confidentiality
* Excellent communication and time management skills
* Excellent management abilities, results driven
* A methodical and pro-active thinker
* Up to date knowledge of UK HR regulations
* Proven track record of making a difference
* Passionate about delivering value in your role
* Ability to implement personnel policies
* Excellent computer literacy
* Valid UK Driving Licence
