At such an exciting time for CIPD / People Management we are currently seeking an experienced Senior Sales Executive looking to take their next step; or Account Manager to manage established accounts and focus on new business growth. Reporting into the Sales Director you will work alongside the rest of the team to maximise the commercial potential across both PM and CIPD's event portfolio.

People Management (PM) is the award winning media brand for the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, the professional body for HR and people development, providing expertise on the world of work for over 145,000 members globally.

Excitingly, this role will also encompass delivery of revenues across the extensive range of CIPD events. These include the commercial revenues generated from the CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition (ACE) - the UK's largest HR event having been run for 72 years! As well as being part of the launch of one of the largest events to serve the entire work-based community, the Festival of Work, which will inspire thousands of HR professionals and business leaders within this game-changing exhibition.

Reporting into the Sales Director you will work alongside the rest of the team to maximise the commercial potential across both PM and CIPD's event portfolio.

The successful candidate will be expected to show the best possible attitude, output and desire to champion our brand in the market. You will be responsible for delivering results across a portfolio that includes display, content solutions, awards, conferences, exhibitions, events activity and bespoke solutions.

If that isn't enough we also have the opportunity to launch exciting products into the marketplace. This really is a chance for an Account Manager to make an impact on these excellent brands in a high-profile role and be recognised across the business.

Core requirements:

  • Maximise revenue for the full CIPD and PM portfolio from your assigned client base and new business areas
  • Confident in arranging and conducting high-level face to face meetings with key clients with good presentation skills
  • Have the ability to think on your feet and put together integrated, cross-portfolio campaigns for clients and also to deliver creative solutions where necessary
  • Professionally represent Haymarket as well as the CIPD both internally and externally
  • You will demonstrate strong sales ability as well being able to drive and motivate the team around you.
  • You need to have a good understanding of digital products and demonstrate real ability for driving digital revenue streams and content solutions.
  • You will be eager to be involved with all elements of live events to ensure that we have successfully delivered on revenues and execution
  • You must be able to work well under pressure and maximise relationships with colleagues in Haymarket Network, HBM and the CIPD.
