Commercial Officer - Stafford
A vacancy has arisen for the above position in the Commercial Department. The successful candidate will need to be able to manage commercial contracts from receipt of enquiry until receipt of payment from the customer. Be able to provide commercial input for tenders, prepare quotations, preparation and negotiation of contracts and contractual agreements across all the Business Units.
Key responsibilities
Evaluating and preparing responses to various customers' inquiries including review of customer terms and conditions.
Advising Marketing/Project Managers on contractual aspects and assisting to deliver programmes in a cost effective manner.
Review and negotiate contract documentation and agreements of a contractual nature, including confidentiality agreements.
Liaison with new and current customers during bid and contract phase.
Adherence to company and department processes and policies.
Support the Import/Export Compliance Officer when required.
In addition the job holder is required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be
Personal attributes
Educated to A level standard, or above or equivalent
Some experience in terms and conditions negotiation and the commercial management of supply contracts for both UK and overseas customers (desirable).
Knowledge of import and export controls and procedures, both UK and US (desirable).
Familiar with documentary credits and bank guarantees (desirable).
An understanding of the principles of contract law.
Relevant experience at the same or a similar level within a Commercial / Contracts
