They are looking to recruit a 3D CAD Designer to join their Design team based at their Telford plant. The 3D CAD Designer will be responsible for analysing designs for manufacturing feasibility, costs and any potential issues with manufacturing.
The 3D CAD Designer / Design Analyst will be responsible for:
* Using internal software to interpret and adapt customer designs
* Design tooling using models
* Design aspect of moulds using approved layouts
* Create numerical machine tool instructions from designs
* Modify existing mould designs
* Providing quotations regarding costs where necessary
Overview of the candidate
* Experience and good knowledge of 3D CAD packages
* Design / Engineering related degree or comparative work based experience
* Strong mathematical ability and an analytical approach
* A natural aptitude for mechanical engineering
* A logical thinker with excellent problem solving ability
