Join a global expert who offers a broad range of services and allows you to be completive in the market!! Due to expansion, our Client is actively seeking a Freight Import Operator to assist and be part of their growth.
Duties but not limited to:
Responsible of ocean import consignments in line with an agreed standard operating procedures. You will manage an agreed number of your allocated customers and ensure full operational cycle is completed including entries, customs processes necessary for the import of shipments by sea or air for your allocated customers, managing the collection of VAT/Duty payments in line with company policy and procedures. Internal/external communications with clients, suppliers and overseas agents.
You will oversee the regular update and completion of pricing records for your allocated customers. This will be achieved through ongoing discussion with local Branch Manager.
Ad hoc creation of pricing records for new business and new business opportunities and work in co-operation with the Sales team to deliver these to your allocated or new customers. Monitoring the profitability of your allocated accounts; seeking opportunities to increase the profitability and the GP/TEU performance of your allocated customers. You will additionally be aware of the planned and actual performance figures of your customers and use that information to seek improvements to company profitability.
Skills/Requirements:
Proven track record of Freight Forwarding Operational Experience
Ocean Imports or Air Imports or even better both.
You should have a high level of understanding of your customers' business, and be able to suggest and deliver initiatives that will benefit those customers and assist in the longer term retention of them.
Positive and pro-active approach across all levels
Flexibility/Demonstration of personal drive & enthusiasm
