Senior Casework Advisor

As a Senior Casework Advisor, you will be an integral part of a busy HR complex casework team, working closely with the rest of the
team. Key Responsibilities:
•Provide HR advice and guidance to line managers on a wide range of complex people issues, including absence management, long term sick cases and performance management, as well as resolving workplace disputes/grievances, and managing Employment Tribunal claims.
•Maintaining case logs, ensuring the quality, secure handling and dissemination of data/information, maintaining confidentiality, sensitivity and a duty of care in line with NCA policy.
•Production of regular Management Information and discussion/implementation of Lessons Learned meetings/processes.
•Drafting reports and/or briefings on various casework issues to senior managers.
•Line manage /coach casework advisor(s) where appropriate.
•This is a part-time role where we will need the successful candidate to work a minimum of 21 hours per week. There is a maximum weekly limit of 25 hours a week. All NCA officers must hold SC Enhanced upon entry as a minimum. You will be required to give evidence of the following criteria during the application process: Behaviour Criteria

•Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills, in particular the ability to influence at senior levels
•Ability to communicate complex issues to a lay audience both verbally and written, including the ability to draft concise reports and briefings in a timely manner.
•Understanding of risk management with the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast paced environment meeting specific deadlines.
•Personal resilience and the ability to manage challenging situations
in a sensitive yet professional manner. Essential Qualifications/Skills
• CIPD Foundation level Diploma or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of current employment legislation (including the Equality Act 2010 and Data Protection Act/GDPR 2018) and HR best practice.
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Previous experience of managing staff

Technical skills
