My client are looking to recruit a new Internal Sales Account Manager for their site in Bedford. The purpose of the role is to assist in achieving their annual gross profit target from existing and new customers. You will be working as part of an already successful team.

Location: Bedford

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 9am - 5pm and Friday 9am - 4.30pm.

Salary: GBP20,000 - GBP33,000 per annum depending on experience. Profit Share available at the end of every year if Service Centre achieves positive ROI.

It is the Internal Account Managers responsibility to achieve an annual gross profit target from every allocated customer, negotiating and agreeing terms, which maximise the return on the resources, employed. The internal Account Manager will also be responsible for identifying opportunity and establishing new business to ensure ongoing growth of the customer base and gross profit generation.

Main duties include-

* Carrying out proactive sales calls to existing and new customers to establish product need

* Dealing with incoming enquiries from new and existing customers

* Providing quotations based on their needs and sending out

* Following up quotations to secure order

* Sourcing materials to satisfy orders

* Progressing purchase orders with suppliers

* Maintaining and updating database

* Entering purchase orders onto the system

* Dealing with customer queries or complaints via the phone or email

* Notifying customer of any delays with order

* Keeping accurate sales data on a daily basis

* Credit checking new customers

* Regularly review allocated customers

* Negotiate payment terms with allocated accounts and try to improve

* Rescheduling orders with suppliers

Person spec

* Someone with a proven track record in selling B2B

* Experience of generating new business from leads

* Tenacity to actively seek new business

* Ability to build solid relationships

* Ability to negotiate terms

* Has excellent communications skills both verbally and written

* Excellent IT knowledge and experience

* Numeric and literate

* Ability to up sell once you have full product knowledge

* Knowledge of nonferrous metal industry - desirable but not essential

* Ability to work on own and as part of a team

* Confident, hardworking and driven
