I am working with an International Group, that manages large contracts and operates in over 260 locations across 10 countries worldwide.
They are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their busy finance function based in Rainham, they will be responsible for looking after one of their largest business streams on the P&L and being responsible for controlling the reconciliation process as well as well as providing key support to the Financial Reporting Manager.
This position will report into the company Financial Reporting Manager and work alongside the FP&A Analyst and Financial Controller. This position will provide excellent exposure to working with senior members of the business and allow development within all accounting areas by providing full financial accounting support to the team.
The Job:
??Provide key support to the financial reporting manager.
??To take full ownership of specified tasks during the month end closing process,
??To provide regular financial information as required by the local management team.
??To maintain performance indicators for the business on a daily, weekly & monthly basis
??Provide analytical support on areas of responsibility and demonstrate clear, logical analytical understanding.
??To own daily update and reconciliation process for a large business line.
??To support preparation and analysis of the month end results for core areas of responsibility.
??To take responsibility for the raising and booking of purchase orders for the finance team.
The person:
??Experience of working within a similar position is a must
??Ambitious and keen to develop within the organisation
??Studying towards a recognised accounting qualification such as AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA
??Computer literate with good level of knowledge of Excel is essential.
??Strong organisational/ planning skills
??Good attention to detail
??Manufacturing experience would be an advantage but not essential
