Core Atlantic are currently looking for an experienced Production Planner to join a well-establish company who install bespoke architectural metalwork, structural steelwork (primary & secondary), sheet metalwork and a wide range of architectural glass and glazing systems.
The post holder will be responsible for creating, maintaining and communicating MRP production capacity plans and machine loading schedules in order to assist the production department plan and achieve delivery requirements. They will capture and analyse machine and staff resources to enable the creation of detailed production delivery plans, whilst highlighting issues and proposing ways to mitigate delivery risks, whilst maximizing the utilization of in-house production resources.
Duties
-Create and manage capacity planning and machine loading schedules using MRP system
-Create and release Works Orders on the MRP system.
-Schedule all manufacturing tasks and associated timelines.
-Assist production department to coordinate production workflow.
-Monitor status of jobs and processes to ensure on time completion, within production budgets.
-Highlight production capacity issues and pinch points when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.
-Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
-Communicate the current status and completion plans within the department and across the business.
Knowledge and Skills Requirement
-Proven experience as production planner in bespoke engineering and manufacturing sheet metal fabrication environment.
-Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
-Experience in MRP systems. (Ideally Mie-Track but not essential).
-Working knowledge of MS Office.
-Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
-Excellent communication abilities.
-Must be numerate / commercially astute.
-Ability to work to tight deadlines and to be able to demonstrate excellent time management skills.

* Salary GBP35 to 40k
