Manpower is looking for a HR Advisor to join a leading Automotive maintenance company. As a HR Advisor, you will be reporting to the HR Business Partner, supporting a team of managers across the business to deliver a proactive and professional HR service.
This role is home based and will support a large geographical area covering the north of the country, including Scotland. As a consequence, this role will require extensive travel and suitable applicants must be prepared for occasional overnight stays. A full driving license is essential.
In this role, you will be a team player and be responsible for;
* Consulting and advising on employee relations issues and assisting with disciplinary and/or grievance meetings as required.
* Driving forward recruitment and selection strategies, coaching and assisting line managers to enable them to fill vacancies in a timely manner. Working closely with managers to formulate area plans to include succession planning, performance management and labour turnover plans.
* Creating and implementing expert tailored HR solutions inline with business requirements and employment law.
* Building effective and supportive working relationships with line managers based on HR knowledge, credibility and trust.
To be successful in the role, you will be also expected to have the following skills and experience;
* CIPD Qualified
* A proven track record in a wide range of HR disciplines, to name but a few, discipline & grievance, absence management, performance management, recruitment and selection and succession planning and turnover and retention.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Previous experience in an advisory capacity, working remotely and in a multi-site operation.
* Understanding of employment law and its practical and commercial application.
In return for your services, you will receive an outstanding remuneration package which includes a salary of circa GBP30,000
Please note this role is a fixed term contract for 6 months.
