Our client a successful growing manufacturing business with exciting plans for future growth are looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant / Sales Administrator to their small friendly team.

We're looking for a candidate that has good organisational skills, a high level of accuracy and be confident using Sage Line 50 and Microsoft packages including Outlook, Excel and Word.

Role description

Company sales ledger
⦁ Accurately record customer purchase orders
⦁ Booking in customer deliveries with transport Company and customer
⦁ Send out invoices to customers daily
⦁ Accurately track invoices and goods delivered against sales orders
⦁ Match sales invoices to proof of delivery notes
⦁ Daily credit control telephone calls
⦁ Send out monthly statements
⦁ General maintenance of the sales ledger
⦁ Accurately record customer receipts against ledgers
⦁ Resolve customer queries
⦁ Month end reconciliation work
⦁ Ensure credit limits are adhered to and deal with external credit insurers

Sales Administration
⦁ Liaise with Director & Production Manager daily regarding Production & delivery schedule
⦁ Enter daily/weekly sales orders onto Sage system
⦁ Accurately record Customers sales onto tracker spreadsheets
⦁ Liaise with Customers regarding upcoming deliveries
⦁ General Customer account management
⦁ Gain a good understanding of Company products

In addition to this
⦁ Assist with purchase ledger tasks
⦁ Assist with recording and reconciling bank transactions
⦁ Assist with monthly payroll process using Sage Payroll
⦁ Assist Finance Manager with adhoc reports
⦁ General support of the Accounts Department

⦁ Ability to follow instructions and prioritise workload
⦁ Highly accurate and well organised
⦁ Self-motivated and driven
⦁ Attention to detail and methodical
⦁ Polite and professional appearance
⦁ Excellent IT skills including use of SAGE Line 50, word, excel and outlook
⦁ Payroll experience
⦁ Proven credit control experience
⦁ Excellent communication skills
⦁ Professional and presentable
⦁ Quick learner
⦁ Team player
⦁ Positive attitude
⦁ Confidence in dealing with customers and suppliers

Use of car and full driving licence is essential.
This role is full time hours from 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday - Friday.
