The Wildlife Trusts have a vision of land and seas rich in wildlife and people close to nature. We believe that nature is valuable in its own right, that everyone should have the chance to experience the joy of wildlife and that we are part of nature, wholly dependent upon it.

This is a time of immense change, when the laws protecting our environment and wildlife are at risk and people are suffering more than ever from lack of access to nature. We are determined to empower our supporters and the next generation to turn this around - to lead nature's recovery and reconnect us to the natural world.

The Wildlife Trusts is a grassroots movement of 800,000 members, 43,000 volunteers and 2,000 staff across the UK dedicated to this vision and driven by our beliefs. We value courage, respect, integrity, trust and responsibility.

Our Campaigns and Policy Team works to help wildlife and wild places by influencing change on land - from farmland and freshwater to roads, railways and housing - and how people engage with wildlife and wild places. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Policy and Information Officer to join this team.

The post holder will provide support in the delivery of policy research and campaign content, and will work to manage the flow of information and collation across the team. You will engage across the movement of The Wildlife Trusts and will play a key role in enabling the team to respond to the many opportunities this time of change is creating.

You will be part of a tight and dedicated central team. You will need to have excellent communication and facilitation skills, be adept at working with lots of information and skilled at analysing key information, including the research and interpretation of data. You must also understand policy in relation to wildlife.

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, are organised and resourceful and have an eye for written detail as well as a passion for our cause, we would love to hear from you!

The Wildlife Trusts is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.
