My local authority client are looking for a full time Team Leader in Major Development, on a temporary basis. Working 09.00-17.00 Monday to Friday, starting as soon as possible until mid April - unless extended.
Main duties will include:
- Lead and manage a team of professional planning officers and support staff.
- Assist and deputise for the Group Leader Development Management, including attending and leading Plans Committees.
- Working under the direction of the Head of Planning and Regeneration to ensure planning officers bring forward successful growth projects.
- Working with promoters of growths sites, specialists to develop and implement innovative solutions to expedite the delivery of growth.
- Work positively with Senior officers, external partners and developers.
Essential requirements:
- Candidates must have a Degree/Further degree in Town and County Planning (or related subject)
- Candidates must be a member of the RTPI
- Candidates must have substantial post qualification experience of development Management
- Candidates must have experience of Public Inquiries and Committee presentations
