Job Title: Middleweight Graphic Designer with Magazine Experience (3+ years' exp.)

Location: Bournemouth, Dorset

Salary: DOE

Graphic Designer required for busy design studio focusing mainly on magazines but able to adapt to various agency briefs!

Our client is looking for a Middleweight Designer or experienced Junior, looking to make the step up to a role with more creative freedom in a company where your contributions really matter. You will be need to demonstrate oodles of skill (or potential) as a creative force via a brilliant portfolio and relevant CV, but more importantly, as an individual.

You will need to fit seamlessly into a very busy team of design fairies where expectations will be high in terms of the quality of work you produce and the speed with which you produce it!

You will mainly be working on regular national magazines plus helping out with other titles so experience in magazine design (ideally gained within a decent publishing house) is a must, which means awesome skills in InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator are a prerequisite for this role. Working under the lead designer, you'll need to fit within the team, understanding your role in the process and be able to quickly and efficiently nail a brief and understand that sometimes you will be required to work late to meet deadlines.

You will be an essential part of the team so the ability to communicate well on a number of levels is very important. You must have a realistic approach to time-lines, work flow, capability and most importantly of all a ferocious eye for detail with a winning 'can-do' attitude!!!'

Key Skills & Requirements:

* The right attitude with heaps of skills (or potential)

* Adobe suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat etc)

* An awesome and inspired magazine portfolio with perhaps some agency work too

* Professional approach

* An ability to translate a brief, no matter how thin, into something wonderful

* Work well in a team plus be able to handle projects individually

* A positive can-do attitude that fits perfectly into the company ethos

* Excellent communication skills

* A realistic approach to deadlines, time-lines and schedules
