Job Summary
Portfolio Payroll are currently working with a brilliant organisation in the Bolton area who are currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join their growing team.
Key Duties/Tasks:
* Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
* Processing new Starters, Leavers and change in terms
* Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
* Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
* Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee income and taxes and National Insurance.
* Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
* Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
* Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
* Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
* To administer all payrolls within a set portfolio of customers, ensuring that all employees are paid
* accurately and on time to achieve company targets
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships
* Ensure all data is received from the customer on time and all output is delivered to the customer in line with targets
* Complete all aspects of payroll reconciliation including
* Resolve HMRC queries
* Manage and resolve HMRC payment disputes
Person Specification
Essential skills:
* Good computer literacy skills including Excel
* High volume payroll administration skills
Desirable skills:
* Payroll qualification
* Shared service experience
