Children's Services are seeking an experienced Account Manager with an understanding of education provision for looked after children. You will be passionate about tackling inequality and know how to raise pupil achievement.
About the role:
You will support the Head of Children's Services. This will be achieved by working in partnership, so that due priority is given
in driving clear improvement in outcomes with Educational progress and attainment of children in care. As well as well-being, social and emotional needs for all children and young people in a coherent way.
You will need to have an understanding of vulnerable client groups, you will be required to attend Personal Education Plan meetings and other meetings to review pupil progress. Where necessary, you will provide effective support and challenge to ensure pupils are given the best possible opportunity to thrive.
Your negotiating and influencing skills will enable you to handle sudden education needs, to secure appropriate provision in close liaison with social workers, designated teachers and schools' senior management, keeping a looked after child in education.
You will be an excellent communicator, a confident individual who can achieve positive outcomes for this important group of children and young people. The post holder should have prior experience in the education sector, with good political awareness. The post holder will require excellent communication skills, and have the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
Salary; GBP30,000 - GBP40,000 depending on experience
