Derby College is continuing to recruit to its expanding "OFSTED Outstanding" Inclusion and Support Team, which offers a wide range of support to students across all of our College sites, and is seeking Communication Support Workers to join the Deaf Access team.
Deaf Access is a well-established team of highly skilled, experienced CSWs and Sign Language Interpreters who provide communication support to Deaf students within the College and local community. We also operate a communication support agency providing communication support to Deaf people in Derby and the surrounding areas.
Successful applicants will need to work from a socially inclusive perspective and be able to provide inclusive person-centred communication support to students on study programmes across all sites, thus improving retention and achievement.
If you have not already achieved BSL Level 3 you must be willing and able to do so. Applicants with BSL Level 2 are welcome to apply.
Interviews will be held week commencing 8 April 2019.
