The Northern Estates Programme is managed by a dynamic and growing team which is headed up by the Programme Director and overseen by the Programme Board. The Programme itself is fast-moving and therefore we are looking to appoint an experienced Planning Lead who will be able to make a positive impact quickly following appointment. The NEP has a high public profile and significant interdependencies with other major Programmes on the Parliamentary Estate. It carries some substantial risks that will require robust management and has a growing commercial impact as it proceeds through the RIBA design phases (currently at Stage 2) and towards construction.

The Role

You will proactively manage schedule tasks, reporting of performance against plans highlighting potential areas of concern and identifying trends and lessons. Overseeing all levels of planning across the Programme you will be responsible for developing the programme level (3) schedule as well as forward views and logistical plans for decant, urban realm, external, infrastructure, EWEIR and other associated projects and interdependencies.

This is a fast-paced high profile programme that supports the decant of the House of Commons to enable the restoration and renewal of the Palace of Westminster so you will have demonstrable experience of working on and programming large, multi-disciplinary design and construction programmes as well as CPM Construction Scheduling. Knowledge of NEC3 contract management is a must as is a high level of experience of Schedule Risk and Cost Analysis.

In addition, you will be familiar with Primavera P6, P3 and SureTrak, MS Project or similar systems and experience of Schedule Risk and Cost Analysis.
