Title: Hygiene Supervisor Location: South Wales

This role involves organising and developing the daily tasks of each of the shifts within the hygiene department whilst ensuring specified standards of hygiene, food safety and legality are maintained through a planned system of improvement.

THE ROLE

* Must be fully trained and compliant to the Hygiene Operator Grades 1&2.

* Implement and maintain company policies to ensure the hygiene, food safety and legality of product and services are maintained at all times.

* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to provide a safe working environment for you and your colleagues.

* Have a good working knowledge of all roles in the hygiene department and ensure that they are carried out in compliance with instruction, customer requirements, food safety legislation, health and safety and environmental regulation.

* Ensure all the shifts in the hygiene department meet the needs of the business.

* Assist the Hygiene Manager with the implementation of disciplinary measures.

* Co-ordinate the daily challenges and activities of the hygiene department across three shifts.

* Undertake and maintain qualifications & training in line with the needs of the business.

* Ensure that micro-sampling and surveillance is carried out according to schedule.

* Record micro results and communicate results.

* Carry out investigations of micro incidents and enforce both remedial and preventative action.

* Liaise with the Pest Control Contractor to ensure that all recommendations are closed out.

* Co-ordinate waste services on site.

* Co-ordinate Shifts holidays.

* Co-ordinate laundry services.

* Monitor time keeping and attendance of the hygiene employees.

* Undertake the BRC system audit.

* Sample and monitor the Effluent.

* Undertake Machine Inspections with Rentokil.

* Undertake Allergen Surveillance Monitoring.

THE PERSON

* Previous experience of working in similar role.

* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.

* Good communication to manager, peers and operators.

* Have an understanding and consideration of consequences of decisions.

* Computer literate.

* Able to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

* Can do attitude and ability to learn new skills.

* Strong teamwork mentality and embrace change.
