CAD Design Authority - 18 month contract

We are looking for a CAD Design Authority to join our Design group within the busy and dynamic DPD team.

The role

• CAD strategy for MBNL Cell Sites for site build, upgrade and maintenance, bearing in mind shareholder confidentiality
• Work with tools and systems to provide appropriate support and storage for drawings and other site documentation
• Maintain an MBNL Drawing template with current products
• Small Works Contractors CAD Audits;
• Arrange and run design seminars to distribute and explain CAD strategy and processes;
• Be a promoter and supporter of Health & Safety and QA for MBNL cell sites

Must Have

• Experience of working as a Senior CAD infrastructure designer within a telecoms network arena, with a good knowledge of structural design;
• Expert user in Autocad;
• Good understanding of structural and telecommunications design.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office and email;
• Good communication skills, both written and oral;
• Ability to work pro-actively, understanding the needs and requirements of MBNL
• Driving Licence;
• Knowledge of the industry and suppliers.

Nice to Have

• Record of introducing new systems into a mobile phone network environment.
• Evidence of technical document authoring

This role would suit a structural engineer with experience of Civil/Structural Engineering for telecommunications, with a good knowledge of AutoCAD.
