An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Nursery Apprentice to join our Nursery & Forest School on a full time or part time permanent basis.
Barnkids is a farm based nursery in the Surrey Hills with on-site Forest School. We are located on a magical site, in converted barn building surrounded by open countryside where children's imaginations are free to run wild.
Our ethos is to be family orientated, professional, hardworking, child led and fun. We believe in supporting and developing children's imagination, creativity and connection with the great outdoors and provide teaching based on play and exploration.
Nursery Nurse Requirements:
Passion for working with young children
Experience of working with young children desirable
Paediatric First Aid desirable
Food safety and hygiene desirable
DBS certification
The Day to Day Role:
Nursery Apprentice
To learn to supervise, observe, mentor and support children aged 6 months to 5 years following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework and Legislation
Be responsible for a high standard of care and education, providing a stimulated and varied programme of play and learning opportunities including the promotion of Forest School
Establish significant relationships with children and parents and carers in a way that supports children's learning and development
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children in your care as well as maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
Support all colleagues working as part of a team
