Do you want to be part of a vision of “Better Mental Health for All”? Do you want to work for an expanding local Charity that is routed in our values and local communities?

Due to recent expansion we are delighted to be able to extend our Senior Management Team and wish to recruit a values driven Deputy Director of Operations.

Working closely with our Director of Operations you will be responsible for ensuring our services continue to excel in delivering high quality support and care. We have diversified our service offer over the last few years to include prevention and community asset services and you will need to be experienced in overseeing the delivery of these and our core services of accommodation including 24/7 services and our Recovery Hubs.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead in the development and delivery of our services, managing staff and resources, ensuring the work is well managed, targeted, measured and addressing local need.

You will need to be able to develop systems and processes that measure, promote and sustain positive outcomes.

Support the Director of Operations to develop a strategic overview of how Birmingham Mind can make the most distinctive and effective contribution through its services, working collaboratively with our current and new partners.

Assist in the identification of sources of funding and partnerships to sustain and initiate new areas of work.

Take responsibility for appropriate budgets, ensuring services are cost-effectively managed, promoted, resourced and evaluated to achieve maximum impact and benefit.

We are looking for someone who is not only passionate, enthusiastic and can work as part of a team, but we want someone who has the ability to develop processes to help ensure that our quality and impact remain high. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage specialist managers in a way that enhances their work. You must be able to demonstrate a values based approach to all aspects of your work.

Are you able to make the most of this exciting opportunity to join an already successful organisation and lead it forward to maximise its potential? If so please contact John Bristow – Director of Operations on 0121 608 8001 for an informal discussion about the role.

If you feel you are not at the right stage in your career for this role then we are also looking for a new Operations Manager, overseeing our services managers in supported housing and outreach services.

Our people are key to the success of the organisation and we are recognised as both a Mindful Employer as well as achieving Gold standard success in Investors in People. We welcome applications from people who have experienced mental health difficulties.
