Pure Staff have permanent work opportunities for 2019, our customer is looking for 5 x HGV Class 2 drivers. Our client is based in the Tamworth area and is established as one of the largest distributors of ambient food products in the area.
The job will involve local deliveries from Monday - Saturday, all drivers will ideally work Monday - Friday one week and Monday - Saturday every other week, however our customer is flexible and can offer part time if required. Shift start times are generally between 05:00 - 06:30.
As a Class 2 driver the main driver role is to deliver goods to local locations in the Midlands. You will be expected to complete up to 8 deliveries per day, you will be required to use cages and pump trucks to off load the vehicle. There is handball involved in this role.
The successful candidate should have the following skills:
* Held a Category C licence for a minimum of 6 months
* Hold a CPC and digi-card
* Happy to work on weekends
* Physically able to complete handball
Salary:
GBP9.40 per hour (PAYE), after 8 hours overtime Monday - Friday GBP12.00 per hour, Saturday premium rate.
GBP10.50 per hour (LTD), after 8 hours overtime Monday - Friday GBP14.00 per hour, Saturday premium rate. (Please note that applicants applying on LTD can only be taken perm if willing to change to PAYE but can work through the agency on LTD ongoing).
After 13 weeks if you have the opportunity to be come full time, the contracted salary starts at GBP32,000 a year for this role.
