Quality Control Coordinator
Location: Head Office St Ives - TR26 3HU
Salary: Excellent DOE
Employment Status: Full-Time, Permanent
H Tempest are the nation's largest photography company with over 800 employees, our Head Office and Laboratory is based in St Ives, Cornwall. Our bread and butter is academic photography ranging from toddlers in nursery groups to university graduation ceremonies, as well as the Armed Forces and Corporate Photography. A Quality Control Coordinator is required to work within our Quality Control Department. This position will be working as part of a small team providing front line photographer feedback. The role is permanent, working five days a week.
Main Responsibilities:
• Monitoring the work of our least experienced photographers and providing front-line photographer feedback.
• To motivate and encourage our new photographers; the ability to mentor and support will be essential.
• To analyse work with a view to issue resolution, ultimately ensuring quality based targets are met or exceeded.
Photographic Quality Control & Training Supervisor.
What we are looking for:
• Photographically qualified, preferably to degree level.
• A good understanding of the fundamentals of photography.
• Studio experience essential.
• Excellent IT knowledge including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• A keen eye for detail is essential as this position will incorporate both image analysis in conjunction with front line feedback.
• Someone with a clear understanding of the company's vision, applying this to all department activities.
• An enthusiastic approach with the desire to enhance an existing skill set.
• Excellent organisational capabilities.
• Full driving licence with the ability to travel as required.
• The ability to communicate at all levels
