Opportunity for a quality technician to join a rapidly expanding business and take the lead on proactively improving quality. The employer are global with four international subsidiaries and are currently achieving >20% year on year growth. The culture is friendly, with very low staff turnover rates and the business has gained a reputation for being a stable, considerate employer.
As the quality technician, you will work proactively to improve product quality. You will interact with suppliers, customers and internal departments including purchasing and engineering. Your responsibilities will include: -
* Carrying out inspections on raw materials and finished products.
* Liaising with suppliers to address and improve any quality issues.
* Working with customers to investigate any concerns.
* Writing reports based on findings of investigations.
* Using modern techniques such as 8D, 5 Why, PPAP etc
To be successful in your application for the quality technician, you will need: -
* A proven background in proactive quality gained in a manufacturing environment.
* Good general IT skills, with the ability to produce well written reports.
* Experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
In return, the quality technician will receive a salary of GBP20,000 - GBP25,000, 24 days holidays plus bank holidays, cash healthcare plan, pension and sickness pay.
