Gap Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading manufacturer based in Newton Abbot. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can demonstrate proven experience in production and leading a team. This is a full-time position reporting to the production manager.
The purpose of the role is to manage all aspects of the night shift and promoting best practice across the division. The post holder will be responsible for managing the production workforce, ensuring the internal and external customer demands are achieved, quality standards are met, and labour efficiencies are maximised within a safe working environment. With the support of the Production management team, you will be responsible for the night shift operations and facility.
To be consider for the role, you must:
* Have excellent knowledge and understanding of production line processes
* Proven experience in leading a team
* Have an understanding or exposure to the principles and tools of lean manufacturing
* Be capable of building mutual trust and confidence amongst team members through personal example, effective leadership, openness, professionalism and integrity
* Confident in the use of MS Office packages
* Be willing to learn new skills and be challenged for personal development
* Have a proven track record of internal success and credibility
You will be required to work Sunday-Thursday 22.00pm-6.30am.
