A prestigious legal client of ours has engaged with Adecco to assist with recruiting for a Paralegal.
Based in the heart of Derby our client is a specialist Multi-Disciplinary Law Firm. They are expanding and we have been tasked to recruit a Paralegal to join the team.
You will be required to work within a busy team assisting two members of the team in particular with work surrounding contentious disputes providing a comprehensive and quality service to the clients.
You will work in a team of Paralegals and report into the Partner & Licensed Conveyancer to ensure a number of administrative conveyancing tasks are undertaken in a professional and efficient manner along with preparing basic legal documentation and submitting applications to HM Land Registry.
The role will include being responsible for managing incoming telephone calls and liaising and updating clients and speaking to opponents. Excellent telephone and communication skills are therefore essential. You may also assist with the preparation of court documents, witness statements and associated documents, and drafting skills are essential. You will also be expected to assist with administrative and business development tasks as required.
Skills and qualifications
The successful candidate will have at least studied to degree level or equivalent and can demonstrate a background within Dispute Resolution.
The successful candidate will also have high standards of personal organisation with the ability to work independently and also as part of a team, strong communication and time management skills and a determination to succeed.
The individual must have a good attention for detail when dealing with e.g. file management and document production and can use their own initiative and manage their own work load.
The ideal applicant will also have the ability to work under pressure using their own initiative. This is a full-time role with a competitive salary and benefits.
