Electrical Maintenance Engineer job near Coalville. Rotating shift pattern including days and nights

Your new company

Established over 200 years ago, this company is a major industrial UK business and is currently going through a period of sustained growth and investment. They employ over 2600 people in the UK with annual sales of almost GBP430m. Now looking to increase their talented maintenance team with a skilled Maintenance Engineer at their Coalville site.

Your new role

You will be working as part of the Maintenance Team providing 'Hands-on' electrical & electronic (PLC) support to both production and other internal functions throughout the Factory.

Main Duties & Responsibilities include:

* To carry out essential planned maintenance and complete necessary repairs to keep the factory in good working order.

* Provide electrical maintenance cover through effective and efficient response to plant breakdowns throughout the factory.

* Learning necessary skills to be able to operate all areas of plant to ensure correct operation following maintenance work.

* On-going process improvement throughout the factory developing new ideas and better solutions.

* Leading Factory-wide Electrical Regulatory Compliance.

* Promoting Electrical Safety and Safe Working Practices.

* Provide good communication skills to colleagues & production personnel to develop an understanding of the machinery operation so faults can be diagnosed & rectified efficiently.

* Being actively involved in the TPM Improvement Process.

What you'll need to succeed

You have a recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship and Qualification such as a City & Guilds, NVQ or BTEC in Electrical Engineering. You are able to demonstrate knowledge & expertise in fault-finding and diagnostics and you are skilled on Industrial Plant & Equipment. If you have an understanding of PLC equipment & programming skills this would be ideal. You are a team player who can work on your own initiative and make decisions for the good of production.
