Creative Retail Designer

We are working with a Highly rated and popular company within the Retail industry who are looking for a Creative retail Designer Solid works experience is a must.

Job purpose

To meet the continued growth of the business, you will need to be a talented designer with a degree in design with experience of working in a busy design studio. You will need to be enthusiastic and driven to produce the best designs possible. You will meet with both internal and external customers to work towards their brand requirements. You will need good communication skills and be able to work to tight deadlines.

Duties and responsibilities

• Take briefs from Account Managers, ensuring enough information is gathered to ensure correct interpretation of clients requirements
• Interpret Clients requirements to ensure finished design
• Develop and design products to ensure ease of manufacture and maximum cost effectiveness of materials
• Produce drawings which are accurate and easy to read
• Manage work load efficiently in conjunction with Head of Design
• Ability to work within a team
• To be able to manage own workload prioritising jobs and giving clear direction of dates of completion
• Supply technical support to other departments
• Create artwork and creation of visuals
• Check prototypes
• Manage drawing database
• Ensuring things have been printed correctly
• Develop junior designers to enable them to reach their full potential
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• A 'can do' attitude

Qualifications

• Degree in Product Design or similar
• Excellent level of knowledge 3DS Max
• Excellent level of knowledge using Solid Works
