Junior Analyst


An opening has become available for a Junior Analyst to join our team here in Canary Wharf which will focus on maximising ad revenue and yield across the Reach Plc digital display and video ad inventory.

As a Junior Analyst within our team, you will be able to liaise with internal colleagues and external partners on a daily basis to been keen to learn and develop skills that drive up revenues and performance for all digital campaigns including those directly sold or programmatically sold.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, with wide exposure to the digital media and an exceptional opportunity to learn about the programmatic landscape.

Your career path would include promotion to a Business Analyst on the team or into a role across one of the many digital disciplines with the company including Ad Tech, Product or Ad Operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as a part of the team to deliver insights around digital trading
  • Deliver rate governance of commercial teams and deliver KPI data
  • Become the teams expert in best practises around digital bookings
  • Take on communications with internal colleagues around booking issues
  • Deliver analytics reports to service Business Analysts and Executive
  • Help to monitor our ad stack and query, investigate and resolve poor performing campaigns
  • Help monitor performance across all platforms and markets
  • Make recommendations drive revenues, yields and campaign optimisation
  • Work with Ad Operations, Sales and Finance to provide insight as requested
  • Organise and monitor inbound / outbound communications ensuring we hit SLAs
  • Take responsibility to learn and be inquisitive

The Ideal Candidate

Essential skills and experience

  • A basic knowledge of digital media
  • Keen interest in the digital media marketplace
  • Analytical and quantitative skills
  • Creative problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent Excel skills including pivot tables
  • Basics of PowerPoint
  • Thrive in a fast-paced team environment
  • Able to maintain focus on KPI achievement and meeting deadlines
  • Always employ a 'can do' attitude and be driven to achieve the team goal
  • Organised, self-starting and great follow through of tasks and recommendations

Desirable skills and experience

  • A-Level or above in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Technology, Science or similar
  • Experience with a Media Owner, Ad Network or Trading Desk
  • SQL, database creation experience, experience with Qlik, Tableau or similar
  • Commercial background
  • Experience working with online ad serving platforms
  • Knowledge of ad serving and management of inventory
  • Advanced Excel
