Administrator / Paralegal
Greaves Brewster LLP is a vibrant firm of Patent & Trade Mark Attorneys, committed to providing an outstanding service to clients and a happy working environment for staff.
We are now looking for a full-time administrator/paralegal to join our Professional Support team in Cheddar, Somerset. While there are no particular educational requirements for a career in patent & trade mark support, success requires high levels of organisation, accuracy, communication, teamwork and an aptitude for learning.
Duties for this entry-level position will include:
- processing incoming emails and post
- assisting patent attorneys with case work & diary management
- corresponding with clients and overseas patent attorneys
- filing documents at the European Patent Office and UK Intellectual Property Office using Epoline software
- preparing invoices using our document and case management systems
- preparing and amending documents
- answering the phone.
The successful candidate will be a team player who demonstrates:
- an ability to work independently and to prioritise their own workload
- an organised, methodical approach to their work
- an eye for accuracy
- excellent written communication skills
- a high level of numeracy
- confident use of standard office IT packages
- an ability to absorb new information.
Previous experience of patents or trade marks is not essential but of advantage. Support to qualify as a CIPA Patent Administrator will be provided.
Salary from £23,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.
