Development Manager
West Kent
GBP30K-GBP35K DOE
My client, a well known charitable organisation based in West Kent is looking to recruit a Development Manager to join them on a full time basis. They are looking for an experienced Project Manager with grant funding experience from the third sector and who is a strong and organised all rounder with the ability to prepare sound business cases and applications to strengthen revenue activity.
Duties include:
- Project management on the delivery on successful bids and ensure that the outcome s from these are recorded
- Managing the administration in regards to grant funding including reports, invoices and receipts of signed agreements
- Identify projects and funding for trusts/ foundations by producing a case for support with proposals included
- Providing a vital role within the senior management team
- Provide leadership and expertise in the development of the company's membership and training programmes
- Ensure the school membership programme is successfully delivered by communicating with colleagues
- Working with other teams and senior staff to understand the impact of membership and training programme development on existing and new members
- Help to develop and implement sales and promotional plans to reach membership and training targets
- Ensure relationships with funders are developed and managed effectively
- Undertaking ay other duties as reasonably requested by the Director
The right candidate will have/ be:
- A minimum of 3 years managing grant funding projects
- Good b2b experience
- Previous experience developing successful revenue streams
- Able to demonstrate the ability to manage projects from start to finish
- Proven track record of achieving ambitious targets
- Able to communicate effectively with individuals across all levels
- A previous experience of managing and developing a team
- The ability to act on own initiative but also be a strong team player
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise a workload
- The ability to research, analyse and interpret/ utilise information
- A reasoned approach with a good understanding of managing risks
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- A pro-active approach
