Looking for a permanent, full time role within a care home setting that allows you to make a significant contribution to the quality of life for vision impaired veterans?
At Blind Veterans UK we believe that no one who has served our country should have to battle blindness alone. We already deliver life-changing services to vision impaired ex-Service men and women in the UK.
Responsibilities of the Registered Care Manager (Nursing & Residential) Job include:
  • The provision of care services to vision impaired beneficiaries, many of whom have additional disabilities, visiting the Centre for training, respite care, holidays and activity themed weeks
  • Inspiring and developing staff whilst maintaining a passion for delivering the kindest possible care for our members and their relatives at all times
  • Demonstrating your knowledge of and maintaining professional care standards
  • Implementing and updating policies, procedures and care standards so that staff act in accordance with legislation and best practice
The ideal candidate for the Registered Care Manager (Nursing & Residential) Job will need to be:
  • A natural leader with drive, energy and the ability to embrace our 'can do' ethos
  • A qualified nurse with a current NMC registration
  • Relevant experience working in a similar position within the sector
  • Able to keep calm under pressure and take decisive action when required
This is a permanent, full time position on a salary of GBP40,000 per annum. Benefits include free life assurance, sickness benefit scheme, childcare voucher scheme and Employee Assistance program and a generous pension scheme. This position will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
