Job shop Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Technician for a client based in the Torbay area.
DESCRIPTION
* Support preventative verification of setups and rig conditions.
* Support Manufacturing Engineering tasks.
* Support the training of new and existing processes, raising training and process corrective actions with manufacturing when required.
* Support or lead the operator training of new and existing processes.
* Support the Technical issue escalation process and minimise downtime.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Resolve issues with manufacturing when product quality risks are identified.
* Participate process improvement strategy to reduce waste, reduce lead times, improve yield and reduce product costs, utilising CI and Lean practices.
* Support the MRB (Material Review Board) process, implementing corrective actions to reduce manufacturing waste.
* Support the technical issue escalation process from manufacturing, with the appropriate level of on hand shop floor support in each production area.
* Support the creation of detailed work instructions and deliver training of new and existing processes, raising training and process corrective actions.
* Provide technical support to manufacturing with respect to product and process, resolve issues with manufacturing when product quality risks are identified.
* Participate in regular performance reviews and set personnel objectives in line with the business strategy.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Awareness of documentation structure.
* Knowledge of lean deployment.
* Implementing robust corrective actions.
* Technical knowledge of Product and Processes.
* 5+ years' experience in an engineering technician or manufacturing role.
* Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential
