WR Fundraising Recruitment is delighted to again be working with one of London's most recognisable animal welfare charities and recruiting for a Senior Events Fundraising Officer to join its small, friendly fundraising team.
At an exciting time of development for this high profile charity, the Senior Events Fundraiser will have the opportunity to work with some very dedicated supporters and have the freedom to implement their own ideas while maintaining a strong calendar of gala and fundraising events.
Senior Events Fundraising Officer

Full Time, Permanent
GBP27,000 - GBP29,000 depending on experience
Duties will include:
  • Develop an Events strategy for the organisation in line with the overall Fundraising strategy
  • Diarise and coordinate a schedule of internal and external events to run throughout the year
  • Work with the Head of Fundraising and Major Donor Officer to develop a Major Donor event(s)
  • Coordinate and expand on our Challenge Events portfolio
  • Work with the Voluntary Resources department in managing event volunteers where appropriate
  • Work with the MarComms team to develop and monitor a scheduled communications plan for events
  • Provide support and motivation to event participants, volunteers and hosts
  • Work with the MarComms teams to develop a Celebrity Liaison strategy surrounding our events
    Line manage an Events Officer, providing leadership, direction and feedback together with the necessary support
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced events fundraiser, with a proven track record of supporting community and individual fundraising events. We see this role as a great opportunity for and Events Fundraiser, Challenge Events Fundraiser, community fundraising or regional fundraising professional who is ready for a new challenge.
Applicants will need:
  • Direct experience of charity fundraising - events, community, regional or similar
  • Demonstrable experience of planning and co-ordinating a range of event types
  • Demonstrable experience of managing an event budget and ensuring an event is cost effective
  • Experience of developing successful fundraising relationships
  • Fantastic communicator with excellent interpersonal and presentational skills
  • Previous line management / volunteer management experience
  • Full, clean driving licence
