We are looking to recruit a full-time Business Continuity and Resilience Planner to work within the Corporate Risk and Resilience Team, initially based at Service Headquarters in Birstall or at Billesdon Fire Station.  You will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Service-wide business continuity programme and also assist in the delivery of Service’s responsibilities as a Category One Responder under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004.

You will have a good understanding and knowledge of business continuity management and emergency planning, together with a sound understanding of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004.  You will be required to have a high level of written communication skills sufficient to write complex reports, plans and procedures.  Effective interpersonal, presentation and oral skills are essential in this role.

The successful applicant will need to have achieved a degree or equivalent in Business Continuity Management, Emergency Planning or other relevant subject or have relevant experience in a business continuity post.

You will be required to work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.  Flexibility can be given regarding start and finish times and this can be discussed at interview.  Occasional working outside of normal office hours may be required.

A driving licence or other means to travelling to remote locations is required.

The successful applicant will be required to hold or be willing to undergo NPPV3 and SC level security clearance checks.
