Salary: GBP30,349 per annum (pro rata)

They are currently recruiting for a Housing Officer to join their team on a 6 Month Fixed Term contract with the possibility of extension. Within this role you will manage a portfolio of properties, taking into consideration the best interests of customers, stakeholders and the business. Working in partnership with both internal teams, external partners and agencies and through customer involvement you'll deliver a value for money service, dealing with the day to day management of tenancies within your portfolio, including voids, letting, successions, assignments, mutual exchanges and management moves.

Working with external partners and attending court you will proactively manage breaches of tenancy obligations and will work with various stakeholders to support and sustain tenancies. You will also take responsibility for estates, working with various teams to ensure properties are well maintained and will oversee and manage a budget for maintenance and estate improvements.

The successful candidate will come from a housing management background, with experience of managing a portfolio of properties and knowledge of multiple housing tenures including shared ownership, leaseholder, temporary housing, assured and assured shorthold tenancies and fixed term tenancies. Additionally you'll have experience of court representation for various tenancy issues and must have up to date knowledge of housing legislation and best practice. Experience of managing a budget and complaint management would be advantageous.

This role will involve travel; therefore a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential. Due to the nature of the role you will need to be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business.
