Ebor Academy Trust is a multi-academy trust serving children aged 2 to 16. It is our aspiration to develop geographical hubs of schools that share our values.

Robert Wilkinson Primary Academy is large primary school - 644 children, aged from 3 to 11.  It has a swimming pool which is used by the school and wider community, a busy before and after school club, as well as other lettings.

As the school’s Site Manager you will ensure that the buildings and school grounds are in proper working order, maintaining a safe working environment for all users of the facility and undertaking regular specialised testing. You will also supervise other caretaking and cleaning staff on site.

Carrying out minor repairs and reporting any faults which require specialist help, you will maintain the grounds and ensure the premises are clean and rubbish is collected. Acting as keyholder and as the first point of contact for access to school premises out of hours, you will take responsibility for the day to day supervision of all caretaking staff and the cleaning team.

The role also involves being responsible for the security of the buildings, carrying out security checks and ensuring all fire safety and health and safety regulations are adhered to.

We are looking for someone who has good DIY skills and a knowledge of the maintenance required for school premises. With a good level of practical skills in areas such as buildings and grounds maintenance, manual handling techniques, safe use of power tools and electrical safety, you will also have an understanding of the safeguarding of children. In addition, you will have knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, COSHH issues, electrical safety as well as other compliance testing as required in a school.

A flexible self-starter who can work to deadlines, you will be able to communicate well with children, school staff and visitors.
