The primary purpose of the role is to ensure that effective administration and implementation of the allocations service within Torus.  This includes processing applications, checking and making decisions on eligibility for housing, making nominations to registered providers who are members of Under One Roof and allocating homes via the Local Authority’s Allocations Policy.

This is an important role in which you will:

  • Administer the allocations policies on behalf of the Local Authorities to assist with their responsibility for rehousing in their respective boroughs, by making nominations to registered providers who are members of Under One Roof.
  • To administer the Torus Allocations Policy using appropriate marketing methods to allocate our homes
  • To work as part of a team with the main objective of delivering a successful allocations service within Torus
  • To provide support face to face, over the telephone or online, to customers who require assistance to access the Under One Roof service


To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have experience and a proven track record of allocating properties via a digital system
  • Be confident to assess applications in line with the relevant policy to ensure customers’ needs are identified, prioritised accordingly and decisions made on eligibility criteria.
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and finish tasks
  • Excellent IT skills
