LGV Class 1 Drivers (Liquids / Powders divisions – Regular days)
Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire
Circa £38,500 + Benefits
Permanent

Our client provides a global service for the distribution of bulk liquids and powders and has representation in over 100 countries worldwide, the operation of which is controlled from their corporate headquarters in Middlesbrough.

Continued growth of the business provides several career opportunities within the organisation and they are currently looking to increase the number of their Class 1 LGV Drivers in both the ADR and Powder divisions. Successful applicants will be based out of the Middlesbrough operating centre on a regular shift pattern.

Responsibilities of the ADR role will include loading, discharging, cleaning and the shipment of tank containers that transport Hazardous and Non- hazardous bulk liquids.

Responsibilities of the Powder role will include loading, discharging, cleaning and the shipment of 30ft box containers that transport Non-hazardous granules and foodstuffs.

A valid ADR certificate (in tanks) is a requirement of the ADR role in every classification except 1 & 7. The successful applicant will work mainly around the North East area as well as the A1 & M62 corridors, therefore overnight stays will occur on most shifts with a duration of between 55 to 60 hours work per shift. There is a requirement for some weekend working so flexibility is a must.

They are looking for applicants with a minimum of 12 months Class 1 driving experience, good organisational and communication skills and who are flexible in their approach to working outside the area when required. Previous experience within this area of the industry would be an advantage.

The Company currently offer our LGV Class 1 Drivers the following additional benefits:
