Onward Homes is one of the largest registered providers of social housing in the North West, with 35,000 properties across the region.

We believe that everyone deserves a place to call their own, which is why we’re committed to building 400 new homes each year. We do more than just provide a roof over our customers’ heads, we’re here to make a real difference.

In addition to creating positive spaces for our customers we continuously strive to create a positive and progressive workspace to enable our colleagues to achieve their full potential.

We are looking for a Safer Neighbourhood Specialist (1 post) to join our Safer Neighbourhoods team.

Reporting to the Safer Neighbourhood Team Leader you will provide a consistent approach to community safety, blending prevention, diversion and enforcement in order to help communities deal with potential and actual anti-social behaviour (ASB).

You will provide an effective contact for customers reporting ASB so as to create a culture of confidence in our services, investigating and responding to all ASB complaints.

You will manage a caseload including initial assessment, investigation and legal recourse. You will undertake research and investigative opportunities for action and best practice and seek to maximise effective use of resources for safer neighbourhoods work.

To be successful, it is essential to have knowledge of housing regulations/law and County Court rules and relevant Government legislation for tackling anti-social behaviour issues. You will have a good understanding of the social, economic and political context in the neighbourhoods in which we operate whilst having the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and external organisations. You should be educated to GCSE standard or have equivalent qualification / experience.
