Purpose of the role:
Responsibility for designing and maintaining profitability Business Intelligence within the Technical/Pricing/Underwriting area. Producing analysis with detailed commentary to the business for decision making.
Key Deliverables:
- Produce pricing for new scheme quotations and renewals.
- Produce pricing recommendations for existing schemes pricing to ensure profitability.
- Establishing most effective risk acceptance criteria and working with the business to implement and control.
- Work in partnership with the Management Team and appropriate departments to respond to commercial tender activity.
- Working in partnership with the Commercial, Finance and Operational departments to support the development of new and existing products, ensuring they are priced and positioned to meet customer, market and Commercial objectives.
- Monitoring, coordination and reporting from Salesforce opportunities and quotations performed in the Underwriting team.
- To have in place all appropriate Business Intelligence, models, information and processes to monitor, track and evaluate all trends, both internal and external, that may impact the pricing and financial performance of the products.
- Producing profitability analysis and pricing/underwriting budget & forecasting models.
- Design and produce Underwriting/Pricing and profitability Business Intelligence reports in Qlik.
- Developing reports that provide the right level of insight internally and externally to support any necessary price/product/channel/operational changes.
- Producing reports that include complete journey from leads, conversion and policy sales for all channels including Web, Aggregator and Call Centre (B2C, B2B2C & B2B).
- Produce KPIs and dashboard with detailed commentary to the business.
- Ensure technical provisions and actuarial methods are incorporated in Business Intelligence and accounted for in pricing.
- To undertake any other duty or responsibility that may reasonably be allocated by your Manager/Company's Management Team.

Experience/Technical Knowledge:
- Experience in Coordinating and implementing Business Intelligence reports.
- Proven ability in budget, forecasting and profitability analytics/reporting.
- Strong analytical skills in SAS preferable.
- Qlik development.
- Experience in Pricing, Underwriting, conversion, and retention measures and dimensions.

Scope of Role:
Working as part of the Underwriting Team, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, some flexibility may be required as the needs of the business change and there maybe times where you will be required to work unsociable hours.
