Senior BI/Insight Analyst

Opportunity to join a leading Financial Services company in a newly created Business Insight function supporting all levels of decision making in strategic and operational departments across the group. As the Business Insight Consultant you will support the development and delivery of reporting solutions and analytical projects.

Description

Responsibilities

• Lead projects providing management information solutions and internal analytical consultancy across the business

• Work directly with business functions to identify reporting and analytical needs in line with business priorities

• Liaise with tech teams to optimise reporting solutions and handle of queries from across the business regarding access to them and their usage

• Conduct analysis projects that deliver insight assets including KPI's, customer segmentations and customer value models

• Contribute to the promotion of detailed data and KPI knowledge, and customer and commercial awareness across the business

Required skills, experience and attributes

• A relevant degree (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science etc) or equivalent practical experience

• Experience of developing reporting solutions and data visualisations using Business Intelligence tools eg Qlik, Tableau, Business Objects, Cognos etc.

• Strong commercial awareness and experienced in driving action from analysis of large and complex datasets

• Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of database design

• Ability to manage multiple insight and analytical projects at the same time

• Strong aptitude for problem solving and getting to the core of challenges

• Capable of translating business requirements into insight solutions

• Ability to build effective relationships and manage stakeholders

• Inquisitive nature and strong on independent research and self-development

Desirable skills, experience and attributes

• Experience of Qlik Sense or Qlik View

• Experience in evaluating marketing campaigns, developing statistical and commercial models and/or a background in operational research

• Knowledge of database administration and data warehousing

Profile
