Duties
Full responsibility for the Manufacturing Facility budget.
Supporting and executing a continuous improvement across the Manufacturing Department.
Full responsibility for all employees within the production department; including the development and mentoring of supervisors, setting department KPIs and managing individual performance, identifying training needs and development planning
Managing daily KPI reporting for activity and throughputs.
Develop policies and procedures for the Manufacturing processes in order to ensure optimization and compliance with standards and regulations.
Coordinate growth and expansion strategies across various departments.
Forecasting and agreeing budgets and timescales in relation to production
Responsible for implementing processes to ensure maximum production efficiency and continual improvement and progress within the department, including specification, planning and implementation of additional equipment and machinery
Constant focus on reducing production costs long term e.g. down time, wastage
Ultimately responsible for maintenance of production equipment and machinery; developing PPM schedules for both maintenance and cleaning
Responsible for Change management
Taking full responsibility for health and safety and food safety in the clean rooms and responsible to the FSA, Trading Standards and Soil Association during audits
Skills & Experience
Extensive experience with Food Manufacturing management.
Strong leadership and motivation skills with good written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience of a semi-automated operation.
Advanced knowledge of 'best in class' manufacturing techniques.
Commercial awareness and experience of negotiating large contracts.
Track record of identifying operational improvements, delivering projects, change management and influencing others to deliver change
Strong technical knowledge and experiences with powder manufacturing lines, ideally Matcon with significant experience in managing manufacturing environment changes in both process and machinery.
Qualifications in Health and Safety (IOSH or NEBOSH) and Food Hygiene with good working knowledge of best practice.
