This is a very exciting time to be joining Paradigm Housing Group. With 14,500 properties, a turnover of £115m and a substantial development and sales programme, we are making the most of our many opportunities in a challenging but rewarding environment. We have a clear and ambitious view of where we are as an organisation and where we need to get to; providing more homes for people who need them by running an efficient and successful business.

We are currently recruiting for a Housing Officer to join our team on a 6 Month Fixed Term contract with the possibility of extension. Within this role you will manage a portfolio of properties, taking into consideration the best interests of customers, stakeholders and the business. Working in partnership with both internal teams, external partners and agencies and through customer involvement you’ll deliver a value for money service, dealing with the day to day management of tenancies within your portfolio, including voids, letting, successions, assignments, mutual exchanges and management moves.

Working with external partners and attending court you will proactively manage breaches of tenancy obligations and will work with various stakeholders to support and sustain tenancies. You will also take responsibility for estates, working with various teams to ensure properties are well maintained and will oversee and manage a budget for maintenance and estate improvements.

The successful candidate will come from a housing management background, with experience of managing a portfolio of properties and knowledge of multiple housing tenures including shared ownership, leaseholder, temporary housing, assured and assured shorthold tenancies and fixed term tenancies. Additionally you’ll have experience of court representation for various tenancy issues and must have up to date knowledge of housing legislation and best practice. Experience of managing a budget and complaint management would be advantageous.

This role will involve travel; therefore a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential. Due to the nature of the role you will need to be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business.

At Paradigm, we work hard and strive for excellence. In return we offer a great place to work, an attractive range of benefits such as Health Cash Plan, Bonus potential, competitive Pension options and 25 days Holiday on starting in addition to 3 days closure at Christmas, as well as supporting flexible ways of working.

We welcome applications from all sections of the communities we work in.
Shortlisting will be conducted in line with the essential and desirable criteria set out in the person specification.
