Chef Manager/Trainer, Llys Enfys Extra Care Scheme

£22,295.00 per annum / £12.25 per hour

We are looking for an experienced Chef Manager to lead our kitchen team, to deliver the highest standards of food to our Tenants. We recognise the massive role food plays in the lives of Tenants and strive to ensure that every mealtime is a positive and fulfilling experience.

As Chef Manager you will be responsible for delivering high quality nutritional meals whilst leading your team with a hands-on approach. You will be experienced in staff management and able to demonstrate strong leadership skills to run an efficient kitchen and a prepare staff rotas and build relationships with colleagues, Tenants and suppliers.

Your role will include the line management of catering staff on site, as well as managing the Chef Manager trainees during their time of assessment and trainings.

Ideally, you will have experience of working within a care setting as well as menu planning, purchasing and the production of high-quality meals within budget.

A good understanding of dietary needs for older people and cultural food preparation are important and you’ll need to hold a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Food Safety and be committed to achieving a Level 3. You will take pride in ensuring a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
