Pearce Lodge, our residential home in Hazel Grove, provides care and support to five young people who have physical and/or complex learning needs. They are currently recruiting for Waking Night Support Workers for full and part-time opportunities, to support the service’s users throughout the night. This is a rewarding role where you will see the positive difference you make every day. We have part time or full time vacancies available.
As our Waking Night Care Worker you will…
Join a dedicated team who provide a high standard of care and support to our young people, including those who are highly dependent on support staff. Passionate and supportive, you will get to know the young people’s interests and needs, giving emotional and practical support. As the young people have additional needs, you will be confident using a wide range of equipment to ensure their health, well-being and comfort at all times. You will be required to use machines including ventilation management, cough assist, nebulizers and tracheotomy care, the training for this will be provided for you. You will be required to administer medication and complete high levels of personal care following care plans and routines specific to the individuals we support.
About You
Experience is essential – however, what’s more important is the desire for a challenging and rewarding role and a genuine interest in developing your skills through the training and support that we offer. As the team at Pearce Lodge offer full-time support, you will need to be flexible and willing to work shifts over a seven day week. You should be proactive and creative in including the young people we support in accessing the community and breaking down the barriers to daily lives.
