LGV2 Driver

Thomas Recruitment are currently recruiting for LGV2 drivers for a National Distribution Centre based within the Tamworth area.

As an LGV2 driver you will be required to carry out evening deliveries throughout the night, on average you will be delivering between 2 and 5 drops delivering cages, pallets and totes.

LGV2 drivers are required to open branches upon delivery, collect empties and secure the branch before moving on to the next delivery. Suitable drivers must be prepared to work alone throughout the evening as most sites will not be manned.

There are two shifts available for the above work, these are???

Monday to Thursday, departing at 18:00pm and finishing at 03:00am.

Friday through to Monday, departing at 18:00pm and finishing at 04:00am.

Before your first shift with our client you must be assessed and do two training shifts before you can drive the LGV2 vehicles. These two training shifts will be paid upon completion.

As an LGV2 Driver you must possess the following???

• Over 6 months experience driving LGV2 vehicles commercially.
• Hold a full UK Licence with no more than 6 points.
• Hold a valid Digi Tacho Card and CPC Qualification Card.
• Be over the age of 25 for insurance purposes.
• A good geographical knowledge.

All drivers must understand and speak fluent English as every route comes with instructions, maps and risk assessments.

Interviews and immediate starts are available for drivers who pass the two-day training shifts.
