Location: Fordingbridge (SP6)
Hours: 40 hours, 8am-5pm Monday - Friday plus some Saturday mornings when required
Remuneration: Negotiable + time and a half overtime
Red chilli recruitment are seeking an experienced foreman / supervisor / team leader from an industrial, logistics or construction background to join a busy building supplies company to take responsibility for the efficient and smooth running of the yard operation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervising the yard staff - involvement in recruitment, training, monitoring staffing levels etc.
- Ensuring high standards of Customer Service are met in the yard area
- Assisting with monitoring stock levels
- Assisting with the placement and zoning of stock
- Assist in the smooth running of the transport
- Health & Safety
- Security
Day-to-day duties will include:
- Serving customers in the yard, both manually and with a counterbalance forklift
- Loading/unloading lorries
- Receiving and storing products from suppliers and dealing with the associated paperwork
Requirements:
- Counterbalance forklift license (essential)
- Knowledge of building materials is an advantage
- Friendly and professional manner
- Ability to delegate tasks to staff and lead by example
- High standards of Customer Service
